More Food For Thought

Victoria’s answer to future proofing regional areas will be discussed as Victorian agribusinesses and producers gather at Bannockburn and Geelong for the 14th Victorian Agribusiness Summit on 28 – 29 August 2018.

A Food and Wine Spectacular will be the theme of the Victorian Agribusiness Dinner to be held at Clyde Park Winery, Bannockburn on Tuesday 28th August 2018. The event will be opened by Senator Bridget McKenzie, Minister for Sport and Senator for Victoria.  Local identity, Ian Cover will convene the evening which will feature a relief Auction for drought relief.

An outstanding level of speakers will discuss how regional businesses can take advantage of the potential that both domestic and export markets have to offer. The Summit will be Opened by the Hon. Jaala Pulford, Minister for Regional Development and Minister for Agriculture on Wednesday 29 August 2018.

The summit program features John Fraser, retired Secretary of the Commonwealth Treasury, foremost expert on current and future trends in the Australian economy.  Producers from the region feature throughout the day.  Topics such as the potential to grow and impediments to growth will be discussed.

Generous partnership support from the G21 Agribusiness Forum, regional and local agribusinesses and regional shires will deliver a not to miss programme.

The Victorian Agribusiness Council Inc., a not for profit organisation  has the role of supporting growing agribusinesses in regional areas through projects such as the Victorian Agribusiness Summit and the “South East Asian Chefs on Tour” project and the Victorian Agribusiness Summit.
